Public Image has a wealth of expertise and experience in the production and management of large-scale outdoor events. We work with street theatre companies, bands, soloists and visual artists.

Lumiere Durham, London and Derry-Londonderry – view film

Public Image managed the production of this spectacular bi-annual, four-day festival of light working with new and established artists. In 2014, Lumiere in Derry-Londonderry saw audiences of over 175,000 and was part of the UK’s City of Culture celebrations. In London audiences were estimated at well over 1 million.

Unsolved – Aberdeenshire’s Crime & Mystery Festival

Set up in 2012 as part of the Year of Creative Scotland and in partnership with the National Trust for Scotland. Unsolved is a weekend festival of murder mysteries, talks by crime writers, who dunnits, classic crime films and CSI trails for families.

Stockton International Riverside Festival

Recognised as the biggest street arts festival in the UK, for the past six years, Public Image has managed the production of the festival’s five-day programme of international street theatre, music and dance.

Chaoyang International Pop Music Festival, Beijing

Working with Event International, Public Image co-ordinated the British music programme and the street theatre companies taking part in Beijing’s most famous annual music festival.

The Lanterns of Terracotta Warriors

Working with Event International, Public Image manages the production of this exhibition which was commissioned for the Beijing Olympics. Over 100 contemporary warrior figures, including women and children, lit up the Old Quad in Edinburgh to celebrate Chinese New Year 2014. Currently touring.

Extraordinary Measures

In 2010, Public Image worked closely with Culture Creative to produce this exhibition of work by international contemporary artists at English Heritage property Belsay Hall, near Newcastle. Curated by Judith King the exhibition featured work by; Ron Mueck, Slinkachu, Tessa Farmer, Mat Collishaw, Mariele Neudecker and Freddie Robins.
